Today was our longest and most tiring day by far. We started off with a worship service with the kids, then headed to the grad church for the rest of the day to make some headway on our project there. The day ended with dinner with some of the boys of Cidade dos Meninos (CM), visiting their houses/dorms, and speaking with some of the house parents.
We worked hard, sang hard, played hard, and prayed hard today. Many of us are physically exhausted, but spiritually uplifted after being with the boys tonight. We're also feeling more confident talking to them since our brief portuguese lesson last night!
Photos to come tomorrow since it's late and we have to rest for our first FULL work day tomorrow. Our goal is to finish painting the murals on the walls, start (and possibly finish?) hanging 100' of drapes, and finish hanging light fixtures.
Please continue to pray for us. We have had some wonderful, blessed moments here, but we've also had some weird, strange occurrences too. For example, last night, 4 or 5 of us had nightmares and disturbing dreams. Although they weren't traumatizing, we did wake up with heaviness and a weird feeling. Please pray against the work of evil spirits while on this trip.
And thankfully, no one has been physically injured. Please pray that we would continue to be safe and healthy for the remainder of the trip.
Obrigado!
Praying that Jehovah Sabaoth sends in His army of angels around you! “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” —Ephesians 6:11-12
