Bumps along the road...

Let's start with the good news: we got our visas! So our passports are all set for getting us into Brazil.

Now, as the title of this post suggests, we have encountered some obstacles in our preparations. The biggest issue right now is that our original method of transporting equipment fell through. So, we have to find an alternate means to bring several speakers, a sound board, lights, and cables on our flight.

This will mean careful and meticulous packing on everyone's part, so as not to exceed the airline's weight limitations. We are also praying that Marc can negotiate with the powers that be to go back to our original shipping method and/or that the customs officials in Brazil will allow us to bring in this equipment without any additional taxes and fees.

Please continue to pray with us and for us, especially with the logistics surrounding equipment.

The good thing about this situation is that it has reminded our team to wholly depend on God and that building a great sound system is not the central purpose of this trip. We are excited and happy to lend our gifts for this project, but at the core of this mission, we simply want to love God's people in any way they need to experience it.
