The last few details are being ironed out now. There was a small hiccup with our visa applications and we couldn't get them on the same day. Luckily, one of our team members works in NYC, so he will pick up the visas and passports this week.
Otherwise, we still need to:
- collect gently used clothing to donate to the ranch/orphanage
- arrange travel to/from JFK airport for all of us and our bags
- pack candy and treats to bring to the children
- fundraise or pay off the remainder of the trip costs
- PRAY!
Please continue to pray with us and for us as we prepare and go.
Here are some things to pray for:
- Safety and good health
- Open minds as we encounter different people and a different culture
- Generous hearts so we can love the Hope Unlimited community without reservations
- Humility and teachable attitudes as some of us are doing things we've never done before
- Patience with each other as we spend 10 consecutive days together
- Physical strength and energy as we work for the duration of the trip
- Restful sleep on the plane and in Brazil
We will "officially" be commissioned at Princeton Alliance Church during the April 18th weekend services. See you then!
