At the girls ranch we got up close and personal with the children. Whatever suffering they have known, their smiles, hugs and hospitality certainly disguise it. We were all given a personal tour of the dorms and a small insight into the daily lives of these girls. All the while we were being serenaded by a young girl playing the recorder.
Tonight not only twelve hours after our arrival in the country, Barry’s BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) was realized. “Wouldn’t it be awesome to see many of the children accept Jesus as their savior while we are there?!?” After the worship service more than 30 children accepted Christ and were saved! God is faithful, God is powerful and God is GOOD!
After the service we got a chance to meet the boys at the school. And after much pleading they got Rachel to sing a verse of Amazing Grace after finding out that she was a music teacher, while admiring Jonathan’s height and…skills. We are looking forward to more fun, powerful and moving moments with the children over the next few days. Boa Noite!
