The team is back home, tired but happy, and continuing to process all that we experienced on this trip. Some (maybe all?) of us have been forever changed by our time in Brazil. We experienced some heartbreaking things, but we also experienced the marvelous grace and love of God. It has been amazing to visibly witness how the love of Christ really does cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8) and brokenness, not just in the children, but also in ourselves.

We are grateful for our time in Brazil and with the people of Hope Unlimited. Most of us want to return and are praying for God to make future trips possible. We hope that as you have read about our experiences and walked alongside us on this journey, you would also consider a trip in the future. On the ride back from the airport today, one of our teammates put it this way,

"I finally get it now. THIS is what it means to have 'life to the fullest.'"

  1. Dear team,

I thank Lord for your life, Brazil needs Jesus above all and that is for you were called. We must be instruments of hope. Help people encounter the love of God, show people that there is hope for the helpless, grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing. We want Jesus to be seeing through us in every single aspects of our life, when we pray, when we speak, when we smile, when we breathe or when we cry, just to be an example that we are never the same after we encountered the real Love of God - and that is all for Glory of God, only.
Your pretty faces will never be forgotten by our children and by me, a simple Brazilian girl that try hard to life after God´s own heart.

    So much Love
    Diane
